Experiencing Bravely Default II: As A Fan, It Hits You "Right In The Soft Bits".
Not a Bravely Default game. Call it anything else and it's fine.

Experiencing Adol Trek: Deep Ys Nine (IX). (Read On, It Will Make Sense)
A step back from VIII, but not a bad experience.

Experiencing 13 Sentinels - Aegis Rim: A beautiful, limited game.
A compelling story at a not-so-compelling price.
C
Experiencing Trails of Cold Steel IV: Mechanically brilliant, but failed to take risks with the characters.
Mechanically brilliant, but too "safe" and lacking in voice acting.
C-
Final Fantasy X-2: Improved gameplay, regressed on (almost) everything else.
A better game, but not a better story or experience.
C
Revisiting Grandia II: Like an old ride at Magic Mountain.
Started strong, ended with a whimper.
C-
Experiencing Wild ARMs 5: The definition of convoluted.
Like they were in a budget crunch and had to do something.
B-
Experiencing Star Ocean - Integrity and Faithlessness (5): Unfinished, or just uninspired...?
I was going to complete this damn game, no matter what it took.
D+
Experiencing Valkyrie Profile: SO that's where Odin Sphere got its inspiration.
I can't think of another game on PSX or PS2 that was more hyped (by fans) than Valkyrie Profile, except maybe Legend of Dragoon.
C
Revisiting Suikoden V: Improved, yet regressed.
I didn't play it the first time until well after it had been out for a while.
