Obviously, spoilers.

I chose Leda first simply because I was fascinated by the theme.  Anyone who played Octopath Traveler remembers Primrose and her motivations; Leda is presented as this at first, but unfortunately...

What I Liked

βœ… Mu.  At least as far as gameplay, not the voice actor.  Gameplay-wise, Mu is an excellent, fun character to use.

βœ… Sirocco.  The stereotypical playboy, like Prince Olivert in the Trails of Cold Steel series.  You need someone like this, it adds 'color' to otherwise dry games.

βœ… Olympia.  She must be experienced to truly appreciate her greatness.

βœ… Leda herself is a quality fighter once you build her up properly.

What I Didn't Like

πŸ‘Ž I mentioned upfront that at first Leda was presented like Primrose.  This started out true up until the final Chapter, where they pulled their punches and relented.  It started roughly Chapter 10 or so where they took a softened approach instead of going full stop.

πŸ‘Ž In one segment, a character switches sides under the auspice of "I have to stop you from doing this because I care" type of trope.  That's fine...what's not fine, is that afterwards the entire situation is completely forgotten other than a throwaway comment.  No punishment, no cutscene discussing the betrayal, etc.  The betrayal is even worse because the battle is made more difficult without them on your side.  It was bad enough that I benched the character and sought to hire others.  Speaking of hiring...

πŸ‘Ž The required Support to hire people + Renown is obscene, to the point you aren't hiring the vast majority of who's available unless you disregard all training.

πŸ‘Ž Leda's mannerisms are inconsistent.  She treats men like she wants to kill them all and treats girls like she wants to bang almost all of them, even the one that betrays her.

πŸ‘Ž Some of the battles are unfairly slanted, as you don't start with the strongest group of folks.  Arguably, Leda is like a "medium" in terms of general difficulty (for the people who are not sadists of the series).

Summary

Leda's crew are endearing and generally fun to use.  Hiring is a bit challenging due to the need to keep levels up throughout.  You'll want to prioritize adding a few heads to your squad.
